Vaibhav Sooryavanshi’s aura seems to have taken over the cricketing world, with fans unable to stop talking about him. The teenager has been on a run-scoring spree in IPL 2026, but his performance in the Eliminator against Sunrisers Hyderabad stood a notch above the rest. A breathtaking 97 off just 29 balls, studded with 12 sixes and five fours, left cricket aficionados mesmerised.
While he narrowly missed out on what could have been the fastest century in IPL history, Sooryavanshi walked away with a significant surge in his growing fan following. Even someone like Sadhguru was in awe of the batting prodigy from Bihar.

Taking to his X account, Sadhguru not only showered praise on Sooryavanshi
but also blessed the young kid.
“Sun shines brighter with Sooryavanshi,” Sadhguru wrote.
“A mere boy sets new standards of cricketing. Uninhibited approach beyond the textbook and traditions of cricket. Not a miracle but a marvellous way of demolishing all self-imposed restrictions of body, mind and spirit. Beware a new generation is coming. Congratulations and Blessings to Vaibhav Sooryavanshi,” he added.

Sooryavanshi’s 97 off 29 balls aided Rajasthan Royals’ defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad by 47 runs to book a Qualifier 2 clash against Gujarat Titans. He admitted his attention was never on personal milestones during the chase.
“I got to know after the game,” he said at the post-match presentation when asked about missing the record for the fastest IPL hundred.
“My focus was on hitting a six. I will score centuries in future, but the focus was on getting maximum runs for the team. I just work on my plan, and if there are any shortcomings, I try to work on them.”
Reflecting on his preparation and batting philosophy, the Rajasthan Royals opener explained how he keeps things simple and focuses on reading conditions rather than overthinking situations.
“I try to just analyse how to face the bowlers, judge the length of the boundaries. When I am showing good intent, the bowler is under pressure,” he said.
