Noah Schnapp Says He Is Friends With Millie Bobby Brown Since Day One

Noah Schnapp and Millie Bobby Brown are two of the most recognised faces from Stranger Things. But for the actors themselves, the friendship started long before fame.

Schnapp, who plays Will Byers, said he and Brown clicked right from their first day on set in 2015, and that connection has stayed strong ever since.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Schnapp reflected on how natural their friendship felt from the beginning. He said there was no awkwardness or forced effort when they first met. He said, “We just always feel so comfortable around each other. There’s no forcing anything. It’s just been like that since the first day we met in 2015.” Over the years, their off-screen bond has grown

deep. Schnapp is even the godfather to Brown’s daughter, whom she welcomed earlier this year with husband Jake Bongiovi. He added, “I know she supports me, and I support her, and it’s just nice when it goes beyond the work. She’s family.”

Even though the characters they play, Will and Eleven, aren’t always in the same scenes, Schnapp says the times they do share screen space are some of the most fun to film. He joked that it’s “annoying” they don’t work together more often, but he cherishes every moment they do. Noah said, “We never get to work together, so the little moments we do have onscreen, it’s the best day ever.”

He added, “I think Eleven and Will are just tied together in so many ways and such similar characters. I love getting to see them on screen together and getting to work with Millie.”
