Chandigarh, Jun 1 (PTI) The maximum temperatures in Haryana and Punjab hovered below normal limits on Monday for the third consecutive day.
Several places in the two states, including Chandigarh, were lashed by rains on Saturday.
According to the MeT here, Chandigarh recorded a maximum of 36 degrees Celsius, over three notches below normal limits.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded a high of 36.1 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, while Karnal recorded a high of 32.8 degrees Celsius, seven degrees below normal.
Hisar recorded a high of 38.4 degrees Celsius, over three notches below normal, while Rohtak recorded a high of 38.3 degrees Celsius, nearly three degrees below normal.
In Punjab, Ludhiana recorded a maximum of 35.6 degrees Celsius, four
degrees below normal limits.
Amritsar recorded a high of 36.3 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal, while Patiala’s maximum settled at 35.6 degrees Celsius, four degrees below normal.
Rain had lashed several parts of Punjab and Haryana on Saturday, bringing respite from the scorching heat that had gripped the region over the last several days. PTI SUN MPL MPL
