After enjoying encouraging success with his cafe in Canada’s Surrey, famous comedian and actor Kapil Sharma is looking to expand his culinary business with the launch of a ‘Kap’s Cafe’ in Dubai. Kapil announced

the formal opening of his Middle East outpost on December 31. The cafe in the heart of Dubai city is meant for comfort and conversation alongside a sip of coffee.

It acts as a reflection of Kapil’s own personality. Known for his notorious streak and unabashed humour, the famous comedian makes his guests feel welcome and comfortable.

Kapil Announces Kap’s Cafe

The cafe was formally announced by Kapil on his Instagram handle. The comedian shared a video that opened with the sights of Dubai’s skyline before taking his online followers inside the interiors of the cafe. Being the great host that he is, Kapil greets the viewers with coffee in his hands while ensuring his naturally playful avatar comes through.

“Habibi, welcome to Kap’s Cafe. Launching tomorrow in Dubai – 31st December,” Kapil wrote in a caption. According to reports, the cafe opened around 4 PM on its inauguration day and stayed operational till midnight.

Inspired By Kapil Sharma’s Show

There is a sense of ease and peace about the Kap’s Cafe’s Dubai setting. The interiors of the Kap’s Cafe seem directly inspired by the comedy legend’s ‘The Great Indian Kapil Show’, which is viewed across countries on Netflix. The design inside is almost an extension of what is seen on the show’s set, with the seating arrangement and curtains carrying a mix of white, pink, and muted green. The designers have deployed the chandeliers quite elegantly and given the overall setting a very inviting and relaxed vibe.

As for food, Kapil’s cafe is expected to keep things simple, easy-going and familiar for its guests. Taking cues from the menu of its Canadian outlet, the Kap’s cafe should offer a mix of Indian and Western café staples. Visitors should be able to order a range of coffee options and delicacies. Going from street food delights to various comforting drinks, in a setup that brings Dubai locals closer to Kapil’s Punjabi and Indian roots.
