What looked like a steady theatrical run for Cocktail 2 has now entered a more unpredictable phase as the weekday numbers begin to tell a different story. The film, which brought together a major star cast, had initially generated strong buzz at the box office and opened on a promising note.
After its release on June 19, the film managed to build momentum over the first three days despite receiving mixed feedback from audiences and critics. The early run suggested a healthy overall trend, with collections moving at a solid pace across domestic and international markets.
However, the situation shifted as the film entered its first working Monday. On Day 4, Cocktail 2 saw a noticeable dip in earnings, slowing down significantly compared to its weekend
performance. According to Sacnilk, the film collected ₹6.35 crore net in India on Monday across 9,785 screens, marking a sharp 64.2% decline from its Day 3 earnings of ₹17.75 crore.
With this drop, the India net total has now reached ₹53.85 crore, while the India gross stands at ₹64.56 crore. Internationally, the film added ₹1.50 crore on its fourth day, taking its overseas total to ₹20.75 crore. Overall, the worldwide gross has climbed to ₹85.31 crore so far, compared to ₹76.25 crore in the first three days.
Before the Monday slowdown, the film had maintained a relatively strong weekend trajectory, driven by curiosity around its ensemble cast featuring Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, and Rashmika Mandanna. But weekday trends often provide a clearer picture of long-term performance, and this dip indicates a cooling audience turnout in theatres.
With an estimated production budget of around ₹150 crore, the film now faces an important phase in its box office journey.
