The footage further shows the driver immediately stepping out of the car, while
neighbours rush to the spot to help. The child is then placed inside the vehicle and taken to a hospital. He appears motionless in the video.
The incident took place at around 3.30 pm inside the Joy Nest Society, where the child was playing with his bicycle.
According to police, the driver of the car, a resident of Mundhwa Road, had entered the society to drop a friend near one of the buildings. During this time, the vehicle hit the child. He was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
The boy’s father has filed a complaint with the police, alleging rash and negligent driving that led to his son’s death.
Police officials said they are examining the CCTV footage to reconstruct the sequence of events and determine factors such as the speed of the car at the time of the accident. Further investigation is underway, and no additional updates have been shared so far.
