The renewed partnership between the United States and Saudi Arabia has captured global attention. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman received an exceptionally grand welcome in the United States by President Donald Trump. The welcome ceremony was as grand as it could possibly be.
Although President Trump and the Saudi Crown Prince were expected to dominate the spotlight, it was Melania Trump who ultimately drew the most attention, thanks to her outfit at the event, which carried significance far beyond its stunning appearance.
Melania Trump’s Gown Was A Striking Look With A Deeper Message
Melania made a statement in a stunning strapless gown washed in a deep, jewel-toned green. Designed by celebrated Lebanese couturier Elie Saab, the dress showcased
delicate ruching along the bodice that added dimension while perfectly flattering her figure. With a price tag of $3,350, the gown radiated luxury and impeccable craftsmanship. However, despite its elegance, the vivid green shade sparked conversation online, with many noting that the colour bore a striking resemblance to the iconic green of Saudi Arabia’s national flag.

Interestingly, the designer behind her gown had celebrated the anniversary of his brand in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The dazzling gala was titled “1001 Seasons of Elie Saab.” The celebration was nothing short of spectacular, with over 900 guests filling the venue as 90 models walked the runway, unveiling nearly 300 breathtaking looks. Not just that the event was attended by famous personalities like Camilla Cabello, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, Adriana Lima, and Candice Swanepoel.
A Sign Of Allegiance?
The shade of the outfit and the decision to wear Elie Saab left many observers questioning whether it was meant as a quiet nod of support toward Saudi Arabia. Nothing has been confirmed, of course, but her stylist, Herve Pierre, has a reputation for carefully gauging the environment when selecting Melania’s looks.
In politics, subtle signals often matter as much as the spoken word, and appearances can carry layered meanings. It’s therefore understandable that people might look for intentional messaging in moments like this.
