Govinda Issues Public Apology For Sunita Ahuja’s ‘Disparaging’ Remarks About Pandit Mukesh Shukla

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja often make headlines for their bond and comments about each other. Recently, Govinda’s wife made a comment about him spending lakhs of rupees and mentioned

the pandit he consults. Now, the senior actor has issued a public apology for his wife’s remark, which he described as “disparaging.”

On November 4, Govinda issued a public apology through a video in which he shared that he has been consulting Pandit Mukesh Shukla for years and respects him immensely. He also spoke about Pandit Mukesh Shukla’s father, who has been the family’s pandit for years, and later added, “My wife made disparaging remarks against Pandit Mukesh Shukla on the podcast, and I condemn them. My deepest apologies.”

“Pandit Mukesh Ji and his family have been with me in tough times, and I respect him a lot,” Govinda concluded.

What Sunita Ahuja said

Sunita appeared on Bigg Boss 13 fame Paras Chhabra’s podcast, where she spoke about Govinda’s habit of consulting pandits. When Paras mentioned that some pandits don’t always have the right intentions, Sunita was quick to chime in, “We also have one in our house, Govinda’s pandit (priest). He is also like this only — gets pujas (prayers) done, charges Rs 2 lakhs. I tell him that you should pray on your own, unka karaaya hua puja paath kuch kaam nahi aane wala hai (the rituals they perform won’t help you).”

“God will accept the prayers that you do on your own. I don’t believe in all this. Even if I donate or do any good deed, I do it with my own hands for my karma. Darne wala darr jaata hai (the one who believes gets afraid),” she further added.

Sunita continued and concluded, “The circle that he sits in has foolish writers who are less writers and more fools. They make him a fool and give terrible advice. He doesn’t get good people, and they don’t like me because I speak the truth.”
