Staying true to his trademark humour, he added that the way to a husband’s heart was through dinner and “nothing else,” prompting laughter and applause across the studio.

Ranveer Brar gets emotional on KBC sets

Ranveer Brar spoke openly about his long-standing admiration for Amitabh Bachchan. He recalled travelling from Lucknow to Prayagraj in his youth just to catch a glimpse of the actor’s iconic residence. He said, “When I was young, I went to Prayagraj from Lucknow to see your amazing house. I will not miss this opportunity. I am very proud to sit in front of you.”

The emotional high point of the episode came when Amitabh Bachchan read passages from Madhushala, the celebrated work of his late father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.

The recital, requested by contestant Avilash’s father, created a deeply reflective atmosphere. Ranveer Brar revealed his own attachment to the poem, sharing how he once searched relentlessly for its old vinyl recording and now owns multiple copies out of sheer affection for it.

Brar said, “Once, I was not able to find the vinyl of Madhushala, the old HMV record. Today, I have eight. I was afraid one might get scratched, so I kept buying another. Today, listening to it from you makes me feel like a crorepati.”
