Chennai, May 15 (PTI) Informa Markets in India, a B2B exhibition organiser, held a strategic industry and media roundtable here on Friday to promote the upcoming 12th edition of World of Concrete (WOC) India, to be held in Mumbai from June 3-5.
The exhibition aims to tap into the region’s rapid industrial expansion and IT-led urbanisation.
During the session here, senior industry stakeholders and regional experts discussed the specific growth drivers across Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad, noting that large-scale public investments are accelerating the local adoption of prefabrication and advanced construction methodologies.
The dialogue focused on the region’s increasing shift towards faster project execution and the growing urgency for sustainable
construction practices.
Addressing the gathering, industry leaders highlighted that Southern India has emerged as a key growth engine for the nation’s ready-mix concrete market, which is projected to reach USD 138.46 billion by 2030.
Rajneesh Khattar, Senior Group Director at Informa Markets in India, stated that the Chennai engagement reflects the region’s critical role in shaping future-ready construction practices and enabling essential knowledge exchange among contractors, developers, and government stakeholders ahead of the main expo in Mumbai.
