Sanju Samson is India’s first-choice wicketkeeper-batter in the Asia Cup 2025. The cricketer from Kerala came out to bat at No. 5 for Team India in the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match against Sri Lanka and scored 39 runs from 23 balls. During his stay at the crease at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Samson hammered one four and three sixes.
On the first ball of the 13th over of India’s innings bowled by Wanindu Hasaranga, Samson smacked a big six down the ground.

In the ongoing Asia Cup 2025, Samson didn’t get a chance to bat in India’s Super 4s match against Bangladesh on September 24, but in the last Group A match played against Oman at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi, he scored 56 runs as a No. 3 batter.
Samson added 66 runs for the fourth wicket with Tilak Varma for India on Friday. Tilak remained unbeaten on 49 runs from 34 balls.
The left-handed batter from Hyderabad, who plays for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL, slammed 4 fours and 1 six.
Earlier in the first half of India’s innings, world No. 1 T20I batter Abhishek Sharma once again made headlines.
The left-handed batter faced a total of 31 balls and, with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes, scored 61 runs.
During his 61-run knock, Abhishek broke multiple batting records.
He first broke Mohammad Rizwan’s record of scoring the most runs in one edition of the Asia Cup T20Is and then entered his name in the history books by becoming the first cricketer to score 300 runs in one edition of the Asia Cup.
In addition to that, he also became the first batter from a full-member team to score 50 boundaries in a T20I series/tournament. In the six matches of the Asia Cup 2025, Abhishek has hammered 19 sixes and 31 fours for Suryakumar Yadav’s men.
