Silambarasan’s 2008 Film Silambattam To Return To The Big Screen After 18 Years

Back then, it was a superhit that made fans dance, cheer, and fall in love with Simbu’s style. Now, it’s time to feel that excitement all over again. Silambattam marked the directorial debut of cinematographer-turned-director S. Saravanan. The film features Silambarasan in a challenging dual role as both father and son. Prabhu, Sneha, and Sana Khan play the lead roles, while Kishore appears as the antagonist. Supporting performances include Santhanam, Nedumudi Venu, and Ponvannan, with Premji Amaren making a special appearance. The story follows Vichu, a young priest raised by his grandfather, who is compelled to confront his hidden past after a disruptive incident at the temple forces him to reveal his true identity.
