PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Beneficiary List: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already released the much-awaited 21st Installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. The amount of Rs 2,000 has already been credited into farmers’ bank accounts. Under the PM Kisan scheme, farmers receive Rs 6,000 in a year in three installments of Rs 2,000 each. Though all landholding farmers’ families that have cultivable landholding in their names are eligible to get the amount, some are excluded from the scheme. As a result of this, some farmers might not have received the latest tranche of Rs 2,000 yet.
Who Is Eligible To Receive The PM Kisan 21st Installment?
To qualify for the PM Kisan’s 21sh installment, one must:
- Be a citizen of India
- Own cultivable land
- Be a small or marginal farmer
- Not be a pensioner receiving Rs 10,000 or more per month
- Not have filed income tax
- Not be an institutional landholder.
PM Kisan: Who Is Not Eligible?
The following category
of farmers are not eligible to receive the benefit of the PM Kisan Scheme:
1. Institutional landholders (e.g., companies, trusts, etc.)
2. Farmer families where any member is:
- A current or former holder of a constitutional post (like President, Governor, etc.)
- A current or former minister, MP, MLA, Mayor, or District Panchayat Chairperson.
- A government employee (Central/State/PSU), whether currently working or retired — Excluding Class IV / Group D staff and Multi-Tasking Staff.
- A retired person with a pension of more than Rs 10,000/ month, excluding Class IV / Group D pensioners.
- A person who paid income tax in the last assessment year.
- A professional like a doctor, engineer, lawyer, CA, or architect who is registered and practicing.
PM Kisan 21st Installment Date: Suspected Cases
According to PM Kisan’s portal, the agriculture department has identified certain suspected cases that may fall under the exclusion criteria outlined in the scheme guidelines. These include, for example:
- Farmers who acquired land ownership after 01-02-2019,
- Cases where more than one family member is receiving benefits (e.g., both husband and wife, an adult member and minor, etc.).
“The benefits for such cases have been temporarily withheld till physical verification is completed. Farmers are requested to check their eligibility status on Know Your Status (KYS) of PM KISAN website/ mobile app or Kisan eMitra chatbot for further details,” according to the PM Kisan portal.

- Click on ‘Know Your Status’
- Enter your registration number or Aadhaar number
- Check whether your name is on the beneficiary list
Also ensure that your eKYC is completed, as it is mandatory for installment release.
What Is The PM Kisan Scheme?
Launched in 2019 after being announced in the Interim Budget by then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal, the PM Kisan scheme has become the world’s largest DBT scheme. Under it, eligible farmers receive Rs 2,000 every four months totaling Rs 6,000 annually in the following cycles — April-July, August-November, and December-March.
The money is deposited directly into the bank accounts of the beneficiaries.
PM Kisan 21st Installment Amount Released
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday released the latest 21st installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme worth Rs 18,000 crore to over nine crore farmers in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
With this, the central government has so far released over 4,08,000 crore in 21 installments so far, benefitting over 9.8 crore farmers, including 2.4 crore female farmers.
