Alisha Chinai On Working With Zubeen Garg In Krrish 3’s Dil Tu Hi Bataa: ‘He Sang It In 15 Minutes’

Zubeen Garg died in Singapore on September 19 due to drowning and fans were devastated by this news. The Ya Ali singer sang in more than 40 languages and dialects. The talented singer debuted in Bollywood with Ya Ali, a song from the 2006 released film, Gangster. Now, Alisha Chinai, who sang popular songs like Made In India and Kajra Re, has come forward and shared her experience of working with Zubeen Garg in an interview.

The duo sang Dil Tu Hi Bataa together in the film Krrish 3, starring Hrithik Roshan, Kangana Ranaut and Priyanka Chopra in lead roles. Alisha revealed that she and Zubeen never had a chance to have an in-depth conversation with each other, however Chinai recalls how Zubeen made everyone angry on the sets of Krrish 3.

Chinai Remembers Zubeen Garg

Alisha stated in a chat with Free Press Journal, “We never had a chance to really sit across and have a conversation or interact much. However, I do remember that he came two hours late, and everyone was fuming.” The popular singer added how Rakesh and Hrithik Roshan, both were waiting for Zubeen.

She continued, “He arrived two hours left like a real star, a real rockstar, and I loved it. I was smiling away. I had finished my recording, and then came and he just sang the song in like 15 minutes flat. I was like, ‘Oh my God, he is just awesome.’”

Alisha went ahead and called Garg an “extraordinary talent” and “gifted”. As per Chinai, Zubeen had star quality in his voice and he always did what he wanted to do. The Made In India singer called him a “real star”.

“He was not politically correct,” Alisha stated. She added further that Zubeen hated Mumbai and the Bollywood scene. She liked the fact that the Assamese singer said what he felt and she regrets how they never sat and “talked to him a little more.” She said that he came and left like the wind.
