Among the many heartfelt greetings, one of the most affectionate came from Bipasha Basu, who posted a lovely photo of Dia on her Instagram story and wrote, “Happy Birthday Dia Mirza”, adding pink heart emojis to complete the sweet message.

Dia’s longtime friend Kareena Kapoor Khan also joined in the celebrations with a touching note of her own. Sharing her wishes, Kareena wrote, “Happy birthday dearest Dia. Sending love, joy and happiness to you…Always!”

Adding to the celebratory spirit of her birthday, Dia Mirza is also enjoying a major professional milestone. The All Living Things Environmental Film Festival (ALT EFF), India’s leading platform dedicated to environmental cinema, recently revealed the winners of its 2025 edition.
With more than 80 films showcased from across India and abroad, the festival highlighted powerful stories addressing ecological concerns. One of the standout achievements was Panha, a film supported by Dia Mirza. The short film received the award for Best Indian Short, praised for its sensitive and compelling exploration of human–wildlife coexistence.
Dia Mirza to Make Her Debut as a Children’s Book Author
Dia’s birthday this year is particularly special, as she prepares to embark on yet another creative journey. The actor and producer is currently working on her first-ever collection of children’s books—five titles aimed at young readers.

Dia Mirza’s journey in cinema began modestly with an uncredited appearance in the Tamil film En Swasa Kaatre (1999). She made her official Bollywood debut two years later in Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein (2001), directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon and starring opposite R. Madhavan and Saif Ali Khan.
Though the film underperformed at the time, it later gained cult classic status. Dia received a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut. In the same year, she appeared in Deewaanapan alongside Arjun Rampal. Throughout the early 2000s, Dia featured in several films such as Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Dum, Praan Jaye Par Shaan Na Jaye, Tehzeeb, Kyun!
