Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said India has emerged as a major economic force globally, crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for the country’s progress in growth, self-reliance and innovation.
In a post on X, Adityanath said India was moving ahead with economic progress while maintaining democratic stability and a strong sense of cultural identity. He also said the government’s focus on putting the nation first had strengthened democracy in what he described as ‘New India’.
The Chief Minister said ordinary citizens were at the centre of policymaking, while the welfare of the poor remained a key priority for the government. He said the principle of Antyodaya — ensuring that development reaches the most marginalised
— was helping strengthen self-reliance and encouraging greater public participation in the development process.
Yogi Adityanath On India’s Development
Adityanath said India’s growth was not limited to the economy, pointing to progress in areas such as social justice, women’s empowerment, digital innovation and economic opportunities.
He said the country’s development journey was increasingly turning public aspirations into opportunities and expanding India’s overall capabilities.
Comparing India’s progress with the situation in other parts of the world, the Chief Minister said several regions were facing violence and instability, while India continued to advance with what he described as democratic stability, economic growth and cultural consciousness.
CM Accuses Political Forces Of Promoting Separatism
Adityanath also targeted unnamed political groups, accusing them of putting political interests ahead of national interests.
He alleged that some forces were attempting to create instability, anarchy and separatism for political gains. He further accused them of trying to damage India’s image internationally by raising issues on global platforms while, according to him, putting national interests at stake.
The Chief Minister did not name the political forces he was referring to.
Yogi Adityanath Highlights Uttar Pradesh’s Role
Adityanath said Uttar Pradesh was contributing to the country’s broader development journey by expanding activity across agriculture, manufacturing, investment and employment.
He pointed to the state’s agricultural potential, growing industrial base, improving infrastructure and young workforce as key strengths. According to the Chief Minister, these factors were helping Uttar Pradesh contribute to the goal of building a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
He also reiterated the priorities of the BJP-led ‘double-engine’ government, saying national interest would remain paramount, national unity would be protected and development would continue without interruption.
Adityanath said the government’s commitment to the ‘Nation First’ approach would continue as India pursued its development goals.
