R Madhavan Remembers Satish Shah With an Emotional Post
Taking to Instagram, R Madhavan shared a fond memory featuring Satish Shah and actor Mandira Bedi. The photo showed the trio posing playfully on one leg, smiling at the camera.
In a touching caption, Madhavan wrote, “The heavens will be a merrier and a happier place now. Satish Ji we make the Gods laugh out loud as they admire their own creation. Thank you for being such a solid wind beneath my wings early on in my career… for constantly believing in me and egging me on. You will be missed you so very much Satish Ji.. A void that can never be filled… Rest in Eternal Peace sir as we grapple on how to carry on without you. OM Shanthi.”

Satish Shah’s prayer meet
Satish Shah’s prayer meet on October 27 saw an emotional turnout of industry members, including Rakesh Roshan, Shatrughan Sinha, David Dhawan, Johnny Lever, Supriya Pathak, Shabana Azmi, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, and Bhuvan Bam, among others. Rupali Ganguly, JD Majethia and Sumeet Raghavan, who had worked with Satish Shah in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, also made their way to the prayer meet.
At the prayer meet, JD Majethia said, “We have performed all the rituals, but we want to celebrate Satish ji’s life. The songs he used to sing, we are singing those very songs today to celebrate his memory. Satish Shah always wanted us to remember him the way he lived, with joy and laughter.”
Veteran actor Satish Shah passed away in Mumbai on Saturday at the age of 74 due to renal failure. According to his manager, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai star suddenly collapsed while having lunch at his residence. He was immediately taken to Hinduja Hospital, where doctors tried to revive him, but he could not be saved.
Satish Shah’s manager, Ramesh Kadatala, shared details of the actor’s final moments in an interview with ANI. He revealed that Shah collapsed suddenly while having lunch at his Bandra residence around 2 pm. “The ambulance took about half an hour to arrive, and we transported him to the hospital, where he was declared dead,” he said.
