According to The Telegraph, bookmakers have slashed his odds from 5/2 to 7/4, putting him ahead of other fan favourites like Henry Cavill, Theo James and Harris Dickinson. With Daniel Craig stepping away from the role and the franchise preparing for its next phase, Turner is now widely seen as the top contender.

The report also says the new Bond film is moving forward creatively, with Denis Villeneuve expected to direct and the script currently being written by Peaky Blinders creator Steve Knight. Fans believe the official reveal may not be far away.
