Ballia (UP), Jun 1 (PTI) Officials conducted a raid at a Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Kendra in Ballia district on Monday and seized medicines after they were found to be unauthorised for sale and the centre’s operator failed to produce bills or invoices for them.
Ballia drug inspector Rajat Pandey said that they have been receiving complaints regarding the sale of unauthorised medicines at a Jan Aushadhi Kendra situated near Vikas Bhawan in the district headquarters.
He said following the complaints, a raid was conducted on Monday, and 28 types of medicines manufactured by private companies, specifically those based in Uttarakhand and Haridwar, were recovered from the centre as the operator was unable to produce any bills or invoices related to their
purchase.
The recovered medicines are not authorised for sale at the Jan Aushadhi Kendra, Pandey said. PTI COR NAV AMJ AMJ
