With just a couple of days left for Alpha to hit theatres, a new report claims Yash Raj Films has already mapped out how it wants the film to be showcased across cinemas. From show timings to ticket prices, the studio has reportedly shared a detailed plan with exhibitors ahead of release.
According to Bollywood Hungama, YRF has asked theatres to avoid early morning shows for Alpha. Instead, the first show should begin from 9:30 am onwards, if the report is to be believed.
The report also says advance bookings for the Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer are expected to open on July 1. Ticket prices are also expected to stay in check. As per the report, YRF has requested exhibitors to keep Alpha ticket rates similar to the weekend pricing of Welcome
To The Jungle, which released last week.

The studio has also reportedly suggested how many shows theatres should give the film. Two-screen cinemas have been asked to schedule at least four shows a day, while three-screen properties should have six shows. Four-screen multiplexes are expected to run eight shows, and multiplexes with 10 or more screens should dedicate at least 10 shows to the film.
For single-screen theatres, the number of shows will reportedly be decided by YRF’s distribution team depending on the local market.
Meanwhile, Alpha has also received its censor certificate. The Shiv Rawail directorial has been cleared by the CBFC with a UA 16+ rating and has a runtime of 140 minutes (2 hours and 20 minutes).
The CBFC listing also gives a sneak peek into the story. The official synopsis reads, “Driven by revenge, a young girl destroys anyone in her path until her journey uncovers the hidden truths of her own life. She is bold, cold, and ready to cross any line, hurting anyone who stands in her way.”
Apart from Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, the film also stars Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor. Alpha marks Alia’s entry into the YRF Spy Universe as its first female spy and is the franchise’s seventh film overall.
The action thriller arrives in cinemas on July 3 and is one of YRF’s biggest releases of the year.
