With chatter about BTS possibly coming to India for their world tour reaching an all-time high, Jungkook was recently seen taking a holy dip at the Sangam in Prayagraj. But not in the way you might expect.
The K-pop star didn’t actually visit India; instead, he received a “digital snan” from an Indian man known for performing such virtual rituals. While the “snan” itself drew plenty of attention online, it was the man’s hilarious mix-up with Jungkook’s name that truly left the Internet in splits.
In a video shared on Instagram, the man, who claims to be a journalist, was seen holding a picture of Jungkook and introducing the global pop sensation to his viewers. He said, “This is Kung Jung. He is K-pop, BTS star. I am doing digital snan for Mr Kung Jung here at Sangam, Prayagraj.”
The Man Prayed For Jungkook’s Success And Health
The man then shared that he was doing the virtual health for the success and good health of the singer, saying, “I hope he keeps enthralling people with his music, with his performances. I’m doing this for his good health and prosperity. I’m doing this virtual dip at Sangam Prayagraj on the 24th of October, 2025.” He then dipped Jungkook’s photo twice into the holy waters of the Sangam.
The trend, digital snan, gained immense popularity during the Maha Kumbh mela earlier this year, where a person’s printed picture is given a symbolic holy dip in sacred waters on their behalf. The man, who calls himself “Digital Snan (virtual dip) giver, aka Digital Snan Guru, shared the video on social media with the caption, “K-pop star Jungkook of BTS getting digital snan (virtual dip) in holy waters of Sangam, Prayagraj.” Besides Jungkook, he has previously performed virtual dips for Sydney Sweeney, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Mark Zuckerberg, and even Justin Bieber.

Jungkook’s Fans Were Left In Stitches
In no time, the clip caught the attention of Jungkook’s fans, who turned the silly goof-up into a meme fest. One fan said, “JK who? I only know Kungjung.”
Another added, “First BTS member to perform snan in the holy water of Sangam.”
“Never thought I would see Kungjung’s ganga snaan in this life,” a different fan joked.
“Does Kung Jung know he took a dip at Sangam Prayagraj?? Does Kung Jung know he is Kung Jung???” someone else hilariously asked.
“Does he even know him?” read a comment.
Another fan added, “Bro, even Kungjung got virtual Ganga snan before me.”
Ever since the creator posted the clip, it has garnered over 8.5 lakh views.
