Mulugu (Telangana), Jul 28 (PTI) Strong winds uprooted nearly 30 trees in this district on Tuesday, the state forest department said.
Indian beech and other varieties of trees in Mangapeta range in the district were uprooted, a forest department release said.
Forest personnel visited the site after receiving information and it was preliminarily determined that the trees got displaced due to strong winds, it said.
Observing that estimation of damage was underway, it said action would be taken after a report is obtained on the weather event and its impact.
In 2024, thousands of trees were uprooted overnight in the Eturunagaram Wildlife Sanctuary in Mulugu district in what was believed to be a tornado.
