Naagzilla: Kartik Aaryan Transforms Into ‘Ichadaari Naag’

In April, Kartik Aaryan treated his fans in the never‑before‑seen avatar of an Ichadaari (shape‑shifting) Naag. The makers have surprised everyone by sharing the motion poster titled Naagzilla. The release date has also been announced and it will be seen in theatres on August 14, 2026. Kartik Aaryan will be playing the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag. Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan Johar shared the motion poster and wrote, “Insanon wali picharein toh bahut dekh li, ab dekho naagon wali pichchar! #NaagZilla – Naag lok ka pehla kaand… Funnn phailaane aa raha hai – Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand… Naag Panchami par aapke nazdeeki Sssssinemas mein – 14 August 2026 ko!” This is Kartik Aaryan’s second collaboration with Dharma Productions, following their upcoming Valentine’s Day release – Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri.

Kartik Aaryan, Sreeleela’s Musical With Anurag Basu Finally Gets A Title

After months of buzz and speculation, Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela’s upcoming romantic musical with filmmaker Anurag Basu finally has a title. The film, which has been in the works for a while, is reportedly called Tu Meri Zindagi Hai and is slated for a May 2026 theatrical release.

The project was initially rumoured to be Aashiqui 3, but following the professional split between producers Mukesh Bhatt and Bhushan Kumar, it was reimagined as a standalone love story. A source told Mid-Day that the new title was chosen carefully to keep the nostalgia alive without linking it directly to the Aashiqui franchise. “The team wanted a name that evoked nostalgia, but didn’t risk legal or creative complications. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the perfect fit,” the source said.

According to a report by Pinkvilla, citing Bollywood Hungama, the Kartik Aaryan–Sreeleela starrer, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu, has locked its release date for December 25, 2025. Meanwhile, Alpha, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, is currently in production and is also reportedly targeting a Christmas 2025 release. While fans are already buzzing about the potential clash, no official announcements have been made yet.

Meanwhile, Kartik has a busy year ahead. He will next be seen in Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri alongside Ananya Panday, directed by Sameer Vidwans, which releases on December 31.
