Jantar Mantar Protest: Yo Yo Honey Singh Shows Solidarity With Protesters, Postpones Teaser Of His New Song

The Coackroach Janta Party (CJP)’s protest has now received Yo Yo Honey Singh’s support. The ace rapper took to his Instagram to express his solidarity with the students and, while announcing that he is postponing the teaser of his new song, shared that the “Youth of India is immortal.”

While taking to his Instagram, he announced that he has postponed the teaser of his song and wrote, “Due to the sentiments of the country and the youth of India, I am postponing the teaser of my new song Moonlight for a few days. Bholenath Shakti Do Inn Bachho Ko. Jai Hind.”

For the unversed, several students and activists marched from Jantar Mantar to Parliament on July 20 in support of the Chalo Sansad march. The protest was carried out to demand the resignation

of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak. Yesterday, several videos surfaced alleging that the police used force, carried out a lathi charge, and threw tear gas at the students.

Following yesterday’s protest, several celebrities voiced their opinions.

Munawar Faruqui, who was left disappointed by the visuals from Jantar Mantar, voiced his opinion on it and, in a video, said, “The children of India asked for what was rightfully theirs. Students worked hard for their exams, but the paper got leaked. Their time, money, and hard work all went to waste. Out of them, 20 students even took their own lives. This is what is happening to students, and yet no one is taking responsibility for it.”

Celebs extend support to CJP

Veteran actor Shabana Azmi reached Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Sunday, July 19, to extend her support to the protesters seeking Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation. Shabana’s presence at the protest came days after she publicly supported climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, who joined the Cockroach Janta Party-led movement and began an indefinite hunger strike on June 28.

Besides Shabana Azmi, celebrities like Prakash Raj and Poonam Pandey were also seen at the Jantar Mantar protest. Previously, Soni Razdan, Zeenat Aman, Abhay Deol, Sonakshi Sinha, Omi Vaidya, Imran Khan, Naseeruddin Shah, and Ratna Pathak Shah took to social media to extend their support to Sonam Wangchuk and the protesters’ hunger strike.
