New Delhi, Oct 15 (PTI) Carnelian Mutual Fund will launch its small cap fund on Friday, with a cap of Rs 5,000 crore, to maintain portfolio flexibility and prioritise investment opportunities over asset gathering.
The New Fund Offer (NFO) of the Carnelian Mutual Fund (Carnelian MF) will remain open until October 30, while subscriptions and redemptions will reopen on November 13, according to a statement.
The minimum investment during the NFO is Rs 500.
The mutual fund house said the Rs 5,000-crore cap is intended to preserve agility in portfolio construction and remain selective as the fund grows.
The fund plans to build a focused portfolio of around 30-50 companies selected from an initial universe of more than 1,000 stocks, it added.
“Our approach
combines fundamental research, forensic financial analysis and ground-level validation to evaluate both potential upside and risks,” said Vikas Khemani, Founder & Chairman, Carnelian Asset Management & Advisors (Sponsors of Carnelian MF).
Rajkumar Dhiman, CEO, Carnelian Mutual Fund, said small-cap investing offers a broad opportunity set, but demands discipline in evaluating businesses and constructing portfolios. PTI HG HG BAL
