Ram Charan To Begin Shoot For Pushpa Director Sukumar’s Next Soon

Ram Charan is busy gearing up for the release of his next film, Peddi, which is scheduled to hit theaters on March 27, 2026. The sports action drama has been creating buzz among fans due to its unique

storyline and rural backdrop.

While the movie is still in production, reports suggest that Ram Charan will immediately start work on his next project, RC17, after wrapping up Peddi. Fans are excited because this film will see him reunite with director Sukumar, following their blockbuster success with Rangasthalam.

The producer of both Peddi and RC17 has revealed that pre-production work for the new film is underway. Sukumar is currently in Dubai, working on the screenplay to ensure that filming begins smoothly and on schedule.

This fast transition from one project to the next shows Ram Charan’s dedication to keeping his fans engaged with back-to-back releases.

RC17 to Roll Soon

According to an interview with M9 News, shooting for RC17 will start as soon as Peddi is completed. The producer emphasised that the team is planning everything carefully to avoid delays and to make sure the project is executed efficiently.

Fans are eagerly waiting to see the actor back on screen in a new avatar, and expectations are high given his previous collaborations with Sukumar.

What to Expect in Peddi

Peddi is a sports action drama set in a rural village and revolves around a cricket tournament. Ram Charan plays the lead role, while Janhvi Kapoor stars as the female lead, marking her second Telugu film after Devara: Part 1.

The movie also features talented actors like Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu and Jagapathi Babu in significant roles. The music and background score are being composed by AR Rahman, adding to the film’s high anticipation.

Cinematographer Rathnavelu recently shared that about 50 per cent of the shooting has been completed. He also mentioned that Ram Charan’s performance, style and dialect will be distinctly different from his previous roles.

Director Buchi Babu Sana has crafted a story that is both strong and impactful, promising an engaging cinematic experience.

Ram Charan’s Previous Film

Ram Charan’s last release was Game Changer, directed by Shankar. The political action drama had him in dual roles as an honest IAS officer taking on a corrupt politician. The ensemble cast included Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Suryah, Srikanth, Sunil and Jayaram.
