Star West Indies left-arm spinner Akeal Hosein’s 12-year-old X post, saying that he would like to become a player like India allrounder Ravindra Jadeja, has gone viral on social media, after he was picked
up by the Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2026 mini auction on Tuesday, a month after Jadeja’s departure to the Rajasthan Royals.
Hosein was bagged at his base price of Rs 2 crore by five-time champions CSK.
Hosein has picked 83 wickets in as many bowling innings in T20Is, at an economy of 7.24. In T20s, he has 237 wickets in 239 matches, also at an economy of seven.
