Milap Milan Zaveri Calls Mohit Suri’s Saiyaara The Film Of The Year

Saiyaara, the Mohit Suri directorial romantic drama featuring debutant Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in the leads, created a storm at the box office upon its release in July 2025. Backed by Yash Raj Film, it garnered appreciation from fans and critics alike, especially for its soul-stirring songs, acting performances and emotional storytelling.

Now, a few weeks after the film premiered on the OTT giant, Netflix, director Milap Milan Zaveri has shared his review of Saiyaara, calling it ‘the film of the year.’

Milap Zaveri Reviews Saiyaara Taking to Instagram, the director shared a poster of the film and penned a lengthy note praising Mohit Suri and the lead actors of Saiyaara. He wrote in the caption, “Finally saw the film of the year Saiyaara and want

to kick myself for missing it in cinemas! There is nothing left to say about its brilliance that the entire world hasn’t said already.”

Showering praises on the Saiyaara director, Milap added, “Mohit Suri, you created pure love! This is your best film, not because it made the most money, but because it is the most genuine film you have created from your heart.”

Further talking about Ahaan and Aneet, he continued, “Ahaan Panday, you were born to be a star. And now you are! Your performance rips the heart apart and then heals it! Your eyes speak volumes about love, pain, rage and dreams! What a performance. Aneet Padda, you define the terms vulnerable, talented, beautiful and innocent! To pull off such a demanding part with such ease so early in your career is incredible.”

Lastly, he congratulated the makers and wrote, “Akshaye Wadhwani, Sumana Ghosh and YRF take a bow for allowing Mohit Suri to make his film the way he wanted! This is a masterpiece and he is definitely a master! Big congratulations to the entire team!!! And congratulations, Sharad Randhawa, on being so lucky for Mohit again!”
