A heated exchange took place in Damoh district of Madhya Pradesh when a journalist approached a teacher at Shaskiya Primary School in Hinoti Azam village. The children here were seen playing outside instead
of attending the class. This prompted the journalist to ask the teacher why students weren’t in class.
But instead of answering, the teacher started striking the journalist with a slipper. The incident drew widespread attention with many viewers criticising her behaviour.
The Altercation Caught On Camera
The confrontation was recorded by the journalist himself. In the video, several school children can be seen playing freely on the premises instead of being in class. The journalist points towards the students playing outside and says, “Ye dekhiye ye bacche hai, ye kaise ghum rahe hai (Look how these children are roaming outside the school).”
He then walks up to the teacher, who is talking to a man, and questions, “Madam, aapke bacche kyu ghum rahe hai idhar bahar (Madam, why are your students roaming outside)?”
The teacher responds sharply, “Aap logo se bakwas kar rahe hai hum? (Am I talking any nonsense with you)?” and then takes out her slipper, warning, “Hum chappal marenge (I will hit with the slipper).” Without waiting, she strikes the journalist.
The journalist tries to step back and calm the situation, saying, “Hath nahi lagana madam (Don’t touch me, madam),” but the teacher continues her attack.
Onlookers, including some women, look shocked and attempt to intervene. During the altercation, the teacher shouts, “Ye badtameezi kar raha hai (He is being disrespectful),” while the journalist replies firmly, “Badtameezi kya ki? Hath nahi lagana, pura record ho gaya (What disrespect? Don’t touch me, everything is recorded).”
He also warns her, “Palat ke maarunga agar ek thappad lagaya toh (I will hit back if you slap me).”
The video was shared on X with the caption, “Kalesh b/w Teacher and Journalist over journalist complaint about no classes.”

Internet Reacts Strongly
As the video spread online, many viewers took to the comment section to express shock and criticise the teacher’s behaviour.
One user commented, “Is she a teacher? If yes… then the future of that village isn’t just uncertain — it’s doomed.”
Another wrote, “She is probably getting paid for doing nothing all day.”
“Always a female harassing physically, she is meant to be the teacher for the future of the country and this is how she acts. And we wonder why the coming generation is worse,” someone else criticised.
A person said, “Instantly played the victim card,” while an individual remarked, “Madam is not in the mood to talk.”
Journalist Speaks To Villagers
After the incident, the journalist spoke to local women who accused the teacher of not teaching and allowing students to play outside during school hours. He also asked other villagers if his questioning was inappropriate. The villagers stated that he had done nothing wrong and as a journalist he had the right to ask a question. They said the teacher should have responded calmly instead of resorting to violence.
