Ranbir Kapoor Is The Most 'Family-Conscious' Actor In Bollywood, Says Alia Bhatt's Father Mahesh Bhatt

Mahesh Bhatt often speaks highly of his son-in-law, Ranbir Kapoor. Mahesh Bhatt’s youngest daughter, Alia Bhatt, is married to Ranbir. Mahesh thinks that Ranbir is the most family-conscious actor in Bollywood.

In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, Mahesh Bhatt lauded Ranbir Kapoor’s ability to really listen during conversations. He also revealed that Ranbir is quite a well-read man.

Mahesh Bhatt said, “Ranbir is a very sorted kid, and I have never seen someone so family-conscious in the industry. He loves his home and his daughter. He is also very well read, and no one really knows that.”

The filmmaker explained, “He reads a lot and consumes a lot of cinema as well. Whenever we talk, it isn’t necessarily about films. We talk about very basic things, and he is a man of few words, but he listens. That is the sign of a great actor, the listening capacity.”

Previously, Mahesh also shared insights on what Ranbir thinks about Alia. Speaking on The Himanshu Mehta Show, the veteran filmmaker opened up about how Alia’s ambition continues to surprise even those closest to her — including her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor.

When asked about Ranbir’s view of Alia, Mahesh shared, “He says, ‘Alia is made of different stuff.’ When I ask him, ‘What do you mean?’ he says, ‘Her ambition to do more and more and more is unbelievably astounding!’ While he’s a person who’s very laid-back and comforted, and he just wants to do enough. She’s a go-getter.”

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt got married in April 2022 at Ranbir’s home in Bandra with only close family and friends present. The ceremony was simple, with pastel décor and warm, personal moments. Later, the couple shared their wedding photos, which quickly went viral online. They welcomed daughter Raha Kapoor the same year.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is now gearing up for his next big release as Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. The highly anticipated film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Raavan, and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. Filming commenced in March, with production in full swing in Mumbai. Veteran actress Indira Krishna has also confirmed her role as Kaushalya in this epic two-part film.
