T20 World Cup 2026 Captains’ Day Press Conference Live Updates: The Captains’ Meet ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026 is scheduled to take place on Thursday. Notably, this will be the first time the event is being held across two cities — Mumbai and Colombo.
The Mumbai leg will begin at 3 pm IST on Thursday and will feature captains from defending champions India, Afghanistan, Canada, England, Italy, Namibia, Nepal, New Zealand, Scotland, South Africa, USA and West Indies. The interactions will be held at the BCCI headquarters in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, the Colombo event will take place at the Mercantile Cricket Association from 12 pm IST onwards. The eight participating captains will be split into two groups, addressing the media at 12 pm and 12:30 pm,
respectively. Pakistan, former champions Australia, co-hosts Sri Lanka, Ireland, the Netherlands, Oman, the UAE, and Zimbabwe will be part of the Colombo gathering.
