The much-awaited legal drama System, starring Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika, has officially locked its premiere date. The makers have also shared a new poster, which has raised excitement among fans. The new show will be streamed on Prime Video. Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s courtroom drama for Amazon Prime Video, delayed for two years, now stars Sonakshi Sinha and Jyotika instead of Kareena Kapoor Khan and Kiara Advani.
Taking to their Instagram handles, actresses shared the poster and announced the date. “What is justice to each one of us? #SystemOnPrime, New Movie, May 22.” Fans also reacted. With a strong ensemble and a premise that digs into the grey areas of morality and power, System is shaping up to be more than just a courtroom drama. It aims to reflect
on how justice functions in reality, where influence often speaks louder than intent.

A Story Rooted In Contrasts
System revolves around two women whose lives exist at opposite ends of the social spectrum. Neha Rajvansh is a high-profile public prosecutor who moves with authority and confidence, while Sarika Rawat works quietly as a courtroom stenographer, navigating a far more constrained reality.
Their worlds collide within the same judicial space, and what begins as a professional overlap gradually spirals into something far more personal. The intersection of their lives sets off a chain reaction that challenges their beliefs, choices and sense of identity.
Power, Perception And The Idea Of Justice
Rather than treating the courtroom as just a setting, the film uses it as a lens to examine how power operates within institutional frameworks. As the story unfolds, it begins to question whether justice is truly impartial or subtly influenced by hierarchy, privilege and perception.
Through the journeys of Neha and Sarika, System looks at how truth can be shaped, contested and, at times, distorted. It positions itself as a narrative that is as much about internal conflict as it is about legal battles.
The Team Behind The Film
System is produced by Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Smitha Baliga under Baweja Studios. The story and screenplay have been written by Harman Baweja and Arun Sukumar, with additional screenplay by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Tasneem Lokhandwala. Dialogues are penned by Akshat Ghildial.
