Star India and Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja gave a stunning send-off to Gujarat Titans’ Jos Buttler, as he dismissed the star batter for just 13 runs just as he and Shubman Gill were building a partnership, in the Saturday game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Jadeja, who joined the Rajasthan Royals this season, removed Buttler in the 14th over just as the batter was starting to shift gears.
Trying to go big off the second delivery of the over, Buttler ended up holing out to Donovan Ferreira in the deep. What followed grabbed attention as Jadeja pulled out his now trademark ‘pocket’ celebration, slipping his hand into his pocket while looking at the departing batter, implying that Buttler was “in his pocket”.
It wasn’t the
first time Jadeja used the gesture this season, having earlier celebrated similarly after dismissing Nicholas Pooran against Lucknow Super Giants. Watch the video here:

Jadeja has maintained a solid record against Buttler in T20s over the years. Across 12 innings, the latter has scored 82 runs from 66 deliveries against Jadeja while being dismissed thrice at a strike rate of 124.24.
Jadeja has managed to keep Buttler quiet through the middle overs without permitting him to take control.
Meanwhile, Gill smashed a quick 84 while Sai Sudharsan made a fine 55 as the Gujarat Titans posted 229/4 against the Rajasthan Royals in an Indian Premier League game in Jaipur on Saturday, May 9.
Gill made his runs off 44 deliveries with the help of nine boundaries and three hits over the fence, while Sudharsan’s 55 came off 36 balls from which he smashed six fours and two sixes in a 118-run opening partnership after being sent into bat.
