Riteish Deshmukh On Hosting Bigg Boss Marathi 6: ‘I’m Reactive, Respond To What Happens’

Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6 is gearing up for a grand premiere on January 11. With Riteish Deshmukh returning as host, the new season promises higher stakes with its much-discussed Hell and Heaven theme.

The format is expected to create clear contrasts inside the house, leading to more drama, sharper strategies, and unforeseen twists.

During a recent press conference, Riteish reflected on his evolving role and the approach he plans to take this season.

What Riteish Deshmukh Expect From Bigg Boss Marathi Season 6

Riteish praised the show’s distinct format, recalling his experience from the previous season and expressing excitement about seeing energetic and engaging participation from the new contestants.

He said, “I like how Bigg Boss Marathi has a distinct identity. Last year was my first experience. This year, I am hoping for exciting contestants to come on the show. I have not done any preparations/ I am a reactive personality, so based on the actions, I will have reactions. I am also an audience for the show, but I make sure not to personally react to situations. People often go inside the show thinking about doing what will get them noticed, but the creative team is the smartest, so they have a counter for all strategies.”

Riteish Deshmukh On His Roles and Responsibilities in Bigg Boss Season 6

Speaking about his responsibility as a host, Riteish said, “I usually try to guide the contestants, give corrective measures. I am aware of everything that goes on outside. Nowadays, the show just doesn’t have viewers on TV, but also on social media, who have their opinions. So their opinions have to be judged and analysed. They judge the host’s actions, too, so being a host for this show comes with its pressures.”

Ritiesh shared that he regularly consults the creative team to know about audience engagement and understand which moments resonate the most. He added that he often asks the team to track viewers’ questions and reactions to different situations before deciding what should be addressed on the show.

The host said he aims to adopt a more measured stance while addressing heated or controversial moments. He added that he plans to handle intense situations with a calmer approach.
