Rashmika Mandanna is gearing up for her much-awaited film, The Girlfriend. As the release date nears, the actress took to social media to share a new video from the film, giving fans another emotional glimpse into her character.  The film is releasing on November 7.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Rashmika shared the video which shares a glimpse into her and Dheekshith Shetty’s relationship. She is in love with him and how much cares about him. But there are times when she is shocked to see her behaviour. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the release. “November 7^th You’re in for an emotional rollercoaster ride like never before. Mark the date,” read the caption.

The Girlfriend Release Date Out

The makers of The Girlfriend, starring Rashmika Mandanna, have officially announced that the film will hit theatres on November 7, 2025. The announcement comes a day after news of Rashmika’s engagement with Vijay Deverakonda went viral. Production house Geetha Arts confirmed the release across multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam. In a social media post, they wrote, “WHO IS YOUR TYPE? Let’s have this conversation with #TheGirlfriend in theaters from NOVEMBER 7th, 2025. In Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam #TheGirlfriendOnNov7th. #WhoIsYourType” The post was accompanied by the film’s teaser, which runs for one minute and 49 seconds, giving audiences a glimpse of the romantic narrative.

The teaser features Rashmika in a restaurant scene with co-star Dheekshith Shetty. The dialogue explores the dynamics of love and compatibility. Rashmika’s character asks, “Each one of us has a type, right Vikram? Do I belong to your type? How do you decide if two people are made for each other? Importantly, when do they discover this?”

The Girlfriend is written and directed by Rahul Ravindran. Rashmika Mandanna stars alongside Dheekshith Shetty, with a supporting cast that includes Koushik Mahata, Rohini, and Rao Ramesh. The film’s cinematography is handled by Krishnan Vasant, while Hesham Abdul Wahab has composed the music. The production design is managed by S. Rama Krishna and Monika Nigotre, with Chota K Prasad serving as editor. The project is produced by Dheeraj Mogilineni and Vidya Koppineedi, and Allu Aravind is the presenter of the film.

Meanwhile, according to reports, Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have taken their relationship to the next level by getting engaged in a private ceremony attended only by close family and friends. The couple is now reportedly planning to tie the knot in February 2026. Though both Vijay and Rashmika have chosen not to comment on their relationship status publicly, reports from M9 News suggest the engagement took place quietly.
