Oscar Winner Tommy Lee Jones' Daughter Victoria Jones Found Dead At San Francisco Hotel

Victoria Jones, the daughter of acclaimed actor Tommy Lee Jones, has been found dead at a hotel in San Francisco. She was 34.

According to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources, Jones was discovered

in the early hours of New Year’s Day at the Fairmont hotel. A spokesperson for the San Francisco Fire Department confirmed the incident, stating that emergency services were dispatched at 2.52am following a report of an unresponsive person.

“Our units responded to the scene, performed an assessment and declared one person deceased,” the spokesperson said, adding that the San Francisco Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner subsequently took over the case.

The cause of Jones’ death has not yet been determined, and authorities have not released further details at this time.

The Daily Mail reported that Jones was found unresponsive in a corridor of the hotel, after a fellow guest alerted hotel staff. Emergency responders arrived shortly after but were unable to revive her. Officials have not indicated whether foul play is suspected.

Jones was the second child of Tommy Lee Jones and his second wife, Kimberlea Cloughley. She is survived by her older brother, Austin, 43. The family has not yet issued a public statement.

Early Acting Career and Bond With Her Father

Victoria Jones followed in her father’s footsteps at a young age, appearing alongside him in films including Men in Black II and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. She also had a role in the popular television series One Tree Hill.

While promoting The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, Tommy Lee Jones spoke fondly of his daughter’s abilities, saying, “She’s a good actress, has her SAG [Screen Actors Guild] card, speaks impeccable Spanish. When she was a baby, I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish.”

He also recalled a memorable moment from her teenage years on set, highlighting the realities of film work. “She had to get up at 5am for her part,” he told The New Yorker. “One morning, she wouldn’t get out of bed. I said: ‘Honey, this is work.’ But she wouldn’t budge.

“So I fired her. Then, without telling me, the production staff went over and woke her and rushed her out to the set just in time.”

Despite stepping away from acting as she grew older, Jones was often seen accompanying her father at public events. The pair made several red carpet appearances together over the years, including in October 2018, when Tommy Lee Jones served on the jury at the Tokyo Film Festival.

Tommy Lee Jones, 79, is an Academy Award and Golden Globe winner for The Fugitive and is known for his work in films such as JFK, Lincoln, In the Valley of Elah and No Country for Old Men.
