Pune, Sep 9 (PTI) A second-year MBBS student died after allegedly jumping off the terrace of a multi-storied residential building in Katraj area here on Wednesday, with her brother claiming that exam stress could be the reason for her extreme step.
No suicide note was found, police said.
The incident took place around 12 noon at Nancy Lake Home Society under the Bharati Vidyapeeth police station jurisdiction, said senior inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad.
The deceased was identified as Adi Maya Shekhar Reddy (21) who lived in the society with her brother Dr Adi Adeem Shekhar Reddy.
Dr Reddy told police that his sister did not have a quarrel or strained relations with any person. Her examinations were underway and she might have been under stress due to it,
he said.
Police have taken possession of her laptop and mobile phone for the purpose of probe, inspector Gaikwad said. PTI SPK KRK
