Ace India batter Virat Kohli was seen catching up with former Australia batter David Warner minutes before the third ODI between the two sides, with the duo looking engaged in a serious conversation during
the small moment. The latter retired from international cricket in June 2024.
Kohli and Warner went head-to-head in the 2016 IPL final, where the Sunrisers Hyderabad captain led his team to their maiden title win against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on the latter’s home turf.
Warner was back at his home ground, the same venue where he brought down the curtain on his Test career in early 2024. He caught up with Kohli as the Indian cricketers went through their pre-match warm-up ahead of the dead rubber contest. Watch the video here:

Meanwhile, Australia’s in-form batter Matt Renshaw showed his growing white-ball prowess with a well-compiled fifty, but Harshit Rana and the Indian bowling unit struck at regular intervals to restrict the hosts to a modest 236 in the third and final ODI in Sydney on Saturday, October 25.
Opting to bat first, Australia struggled to build meaningful stands against a disciplined Indian bowling and fielding display, through the middle overs when the spinners tightened the screws on the scoring rate.
Pacer Rana was brilliant during his four-fer (4/39), a spell in which he generated good pace and bounce off a fresh SCG turf.
A 61-run opening partnership between captain Mitchell Marsh (41) and Travis Head, followed by a 54-run stand between Renshaw (56) and Alex Carey, provided some stability for Australia but couldn’t propel them towards a more substantial total.
Marsh and Head played some typically powerful shots around the wicket and the former had even smoked Prasidh Krishna for a pulled six.
But Head guided a rather innocuous ball from Mohammad Siraj straight into the hands of Prasidh at backward point.
