In an unusual turn of events, two inmates serving life sentences in separate murder cases in Rajasthan have fallen in love while incarcerated and have been granted parole to marry.
The couple will get married on Friday, January 23, in Barodamev, Alwar. A wedding card has also surfaced.
The bride’s name is Priya Seth, who brutally murdered her boyfriend after trapping him in a honey trap. Priya met Hanuman Prasad, alias Jack, another life‑term convict in a separate murder case.
Jack, along with his girlfriend and Taekwondo player Santosh Sharma, who was 10 years older than him, killed her husband and children in Alwar.
Both were lodged at an open prison facility in Jaipur, a setup where inmates have comparatively more freedom and interaction than
in conventional jails. Over time, a relationship developed between them. They lived together for 6 months and are now going to tie the knot.
Before being incarcerated in Jaipur for the Dushyant murder case (May 2018), Priya Seth was living with her ex-boyfriend, Dikshant Kamra. Dikshant, also a co-accused in the case, is serving a life sentence.
Meanwhile, Hanuman Prasad, who killed his girlfriend Santosh Sharma’s husband and children in October 2017 at her behest (Santosh was 10 years his senior), has now ended his relationship with her and chosen Priya Seth for marriage.
Santosh Sharma, a former Taekwondo player and co-accused in the same murder case, is also serving a life sentence. Both inmates have now decided to leave their former partners and wed each other.
