He expressed, “A lot of people from the industry will agree with me” that constant picture-taking during a funeral and treating it like a place to socialise feels deeply inappropriate. Arjun added that the paparazzi show up regardless of whether they are invited. He suggested that creating a designated area for photographers and enforcing clear boundaries would help maintain dignity during such sensitive times.
Karan Johar Condemns Media Intrusion Into the Deol Family’s Privacy
Amid the overwhelming attention on the Deols, filmmaker Karan Johar also voiced his concern. In an earlier Instagram story, he described it as heartbreaking to witness a “media circus” surrounding Dharmendra, who at that time was battling a serious health crisis.

His reaction followed the circulation of a distressing video leaked from Dharmendra’s hospital room, which exposed the family during an extremely emotional and private moment.

Dharmendra, passed away on November 24 at the age of 89. He had been under constant medical supervision after being discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he was admitted due to prolonged illness. Although he showed brief signs of improvement, he ultimately succumbed to his condition.
