Farhan Akhtar’s latest project 120 Bahadur,
which chronicles the historic Battle of Rezang La fought by the 13 Kumaon Regiment, was one of the year’s most-awaited military dramas. The film marked his return to the big screen as Param Vir Chakra Awardee Major Shaitan Singh Bhati. Released on November 21, the film had high hopes, but it witnessed a steep fall in box office numbers on its first Monday.Despite receiving rave reviews for its hard-hitting dialogues, emotional depth, and powerful performances, the film is struggling to maintain momentum after a modest opening.
According to early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk, 120 Bahadur earned just Rs 1.40 crore on Day 4, marking its lowest single-day collection since release. With this, the
film’s total box office earnings now stand at Rs 11.50 crore.

The film opened at Rs 2.25 crore, followed by a significant 71 per cent rise in numbers on Day 2, collecting Rs 3.85 crore. On day 3, 120 Bahadur saw another rise with 4 Crore, but the positive trend reversed sharply on Monday.
On Monday, the film recorded an overall occupancy of 7.46 per cent. Night shows had the highest footfall at 10.36 per cent, followed by afternoon shows at 7.83 per cent. Morning shows had a total footfall of about 4.38 per cent and evening shows had 7.26 per cent.

Made under the direction of Razneesh Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banners of Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios, 120 Bahadur was shot in several locations, including Rajasthan, Ladakh and Mumbai. Raashii Khanna is also part of the film. The military drama, set during the 1962 Indo-China conflict, traces the courageous journey of Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC and the heroic soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, who fought the Battle of Rezang La on November 18, 1962.

Adding to the emotional weight of the narrative is the film’s powerful music album. 120 Bahadur features some soul-stirring songs by renowned music maestros that undoubtedly give goosebumps to viewers. Starting with Shreya Ghosal’s song Main Hoon Woh Dharti Maa and Sukhwinder Singh’s song Dada Kishan Ki Jai, the track features music by Salim-Sulaiman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. Another poignant addition is Yaad Aate Hain, composed by Amit Trivedi and penned by Javed Akhtar.
