Over the years, Ola Electric has come under constant scrutiny over its after-sales service. Many electric two-wheeler owners across the country have been raising their voices regarding slow repairs and unresolved complaints.
Recently, a video surfaced online where several Ola Electric customers are seen expressing their anger after facing issues with their scooters. The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “Buy OLA and regret it for life! There’s an OLA showroom right near my house, and to this day, I haven’t met even one person who bought an OLA and is satisfied—everyone has some problem or the other!”
Customers Show Their Anger In Video The video starts with a heated moment where a customer is seen in a physical altercation
with a service center executive. Another customer is heard saying, “Maine ek baar sirf bola uska wiring ka kaam karne, toh 4 mahine khadi rahi gaadi (I just asked once to fix its wiring, and the vehicle remained idle for 4 months).”
Yet another frustrated buyer says, “Showroom band karo na agar nahi service ho raha hai toh (Shut down the showroom if service isn’t being provided).”

Complaints Pour In Online
Social media users flooded the comment section to share their own negative experiences.
One user commented, “I’ve been suffering with Ola for the past one year — I’ve lost all hope now. Whenever someone asks, I just say one thing: make any mistake you want, but never buy an Ola. Already stopped 10 people from buying, and I’ll stop 100 more.”
Another person, tagging CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, added, “It’s sad that by seeing frustration of customers, I too, even after daily tweets, calls, and repeated visits to the service centre, there’s still no reply from Ola Electric. My scooter AP39MX 4001 has been stuck in repair for 2 months. Is this not a service failure Bhavish Aggarwal?”
“Same thing happening to me also. First, their product is useless – no parts are genuine. Within month of purchasing, their motor got damaged and now there is an accelerator problem. When I visited my showroom from where I had purchased scooter, they said, service is not available,” someone else shared.
“Warning to potential buyers: I bought an Ola S1 X, and the motor failed after just 9,000 km, despite claims of 40,000 km durability. The service center says repairs will take 2 months. I’d advise against purchasing this vehicle,” read another comment.
Turning To Grok For Advice
Amid the flood of complaints, one person turned to the chatbot Grok to get a review before deciding to buy the vehicle.
Grok replied, “Ola ki bike (S1 series) soch rahe ho? Reviews missed hai. Pros: Accha range, features, affordable. Cons: 2025 mein kai complaints service delays, battery issues, build quality problems ki. Reddit aur Bike Dekho par negative experience zyada hai. Test ride lo, Ather ya TVS iQube compare karo. Past Customer Protests
This is not the first time Ola Electric has faced public criticism. Back in 2023, a video gained widespread attention where a group of angry customers was seen protesting outside an Ola Electric service center in Madhya Pradesh. They wanted the service centre to be shut down as the dealership was selling new vehicles and failed to address the ongoing customer complaints.
CCPA Investigation
Last year in November, the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) launched an in-depth investigation into multiple complaints against Ola Electric. This was done after a show-cause notice was issued to the company on October 21, 2024. While Ola Electric claimed it had resolved 99.10 per cent of complaints, the CCPA’s review suggested otherwise that prompted further investigation.
Market Impact
The ongoing complaints and service issues have also impacted the company’s market position. According to Cartoq, Ola Electric’s market share fell from 38.83 per cent in July 2024 to 17.35 per cent in July 2025. This marks a significant year-on-year decline of over 57 per cent.
