Ever wondered if a crow can be kept as a pet? Dogs, cats, rabbits, hamsters, parrots, pigeons, fishes, and even snakes have long been popular choices among pet lovers. But a video doing rounds on social media is challenging conventional ideas about pet ownership after it showed a woman sharing a surprisingly affectionate bond with a crow.
The clip, posted on X, showed the woman sitting outdoors with the bird comfortable resting in her lap. Far from the omage of crows as wary and scary creatures, the bird appeared completely at ease in the woman’s company and allowed itself to be petted and cuddled without causing any harm to anyone.
Crow Enjoys All The Attention
She was seen gently tickling the belly of the crow while making playful sounds, much like someone would do while entertaining
a baby. Rather than attempting to fly away or react aggressively, the crow calmly remained in her lap and appeared to enjoy all the attention it got. At one point, it even gently held the woman’s fingers with its claws. It no way harmed the woman, thus highlighting the trust and bond between them.

“Only Indian Moms Can Do These Things”
The video has garnered significant traction on the platform, with people expressing their surprise after seeing a crow behaving like a domesticated pet. Some also pointed out that crows are among the most intelligent organisms on the planet.
“In India every animal/bird can be domesticated. Hence proved,” one user said.
“Who knew you could tickle a crow,” another person said while expressing their surprise.
An individual shared, “Crows cannot be caged they choose someone if they wish. They are the smartest birds around, besides magpies which are just different in color pattern but of the same family as crows and ravens.”
“You should never touch or pet the birds on their stomach, under their wings and to an extent below their beaks,” one person warned after watching the woman pet the crow in its belly region.
Meanwhile, a person joked, “Indian moms can pet anyone.”
“Only Indian mom’s can do these things,” another user reacted.
“A Mom can MOM anyone…And by anyone i mean LITERALLY ANYONE,” someone else jokingly commented.
