Jun 13 (PTI) A tiger was found dead in a nullah in Umred forest in Maharashtra’s Nagpur district on Saturday, officials said.
The deceased was five to six years old, they said.
The feline was found dead in Mauza Chanoda in South Umred forest range, a statement issued by the Deputy Conservator of Forests (DCF) Nagpur said.
As per the preliminary examination, the carcass of an adult male tiger was found in a nullah in the forest. All body parts of the big cat were found intact, it said.
The exact cause of the death will be confirmed after the post-mortem, it added. PTI CLS NP
