Tu Meri Main Tera… Release Preponed! 

The makers of the Kartik and Ananya starrer have locked a new release date for the film. The movie, which was slated to release on December 31, will now hit the screens a few days earlier, on the occasion of Christmas. This means the film will have a box office clash with Agastya Nanda’s war drama Ikkis. Taking to his Instagram account, Kartik Aaryan shared the fresh poster and wrote, “I am coming again! This time CHRISTMAS 25th DECEMBER TuMeriMainTeraMainTeraTuMeri .” In the poster, the actor can be seen lifting Ananya Panday on his back as both leads beam with joy.

About the film

Directed by National Award-winner Sameer Vidwans, the film promises a simple, heartfelt story set against a visually engaging backdrop. Produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures, the project is backed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Shareen Mantri Kedia, Kishor Arora, and Bhumika Tewari. Releasing on Christmas Eve, the film aims to offer audiences a light-hearted love story.

Kartik and Ananya first collaborated in the 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, where their on-screen pairing garnered significant attention. Their camaraderie was evident during promotional events and interviews, leading fans and media to speculate about a possible off-screen romance. In 2022, during an appearance on Koffee with Karan, host Karan Johar hinted at their rumoured relationship. Ananya’s mother, Bhavana Panday, was also asked about her daughter’s on-screen pairings, to which she responded that Ananya and Kartik looked the best together.

Kartik Aaryan has an exciting lineup of projects ahead, and one of the most anticipated is Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand, a creature comedy-drama backed by Dharma Productions and Mahavir Jain. The actor will reportedly play the role of a shape-shifting serpent, marking one of the most unique characters of his career. According to reports, Kartik Aaryan has already wrapped up the film’s poster shoot, with principal photography scheduled to begin on November 1. As per a report in Pinkvilla, the actor recently shot the promotional material at a Mumbai studio, kicking off his journey into the creature-comedy genre. A source close to the project mentioned that Kartik is very excited about this unusual and intriguing role in Naagzilla. Officially announced in April 2025, the film is set to release on August 14, 2026, coinciding with Independence Day weekend and Naag Panchami. According to the report, Kartik Aaryan will play Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag, in the film.
