Fighter Actor Rishabh Sawhney Calls Siddharth Anand His ‘Guru’, Pens Heartfelt Note As Film Clocks 2 Years

As Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter completes two years, Rishabh Sawhney marked the milestone with a deeply moving reflection on gratitude, belief, and the journey that changed his life. The actor, who played the antagonist in the film, called director Siddharth Anand his ‘Guru’, and called the film the ‘most magical experience’ of his life.

“This story is about gratitude and a little bit of magic,” Rishabh shared, dedicating his words to every outsider who believes that making it to the big screen is impossible. Looking back, Rishabh recalled how what seemed like just another audition call turned into the most defining chapter of his life. “What came as just another audition call turned out to be the most magical thing for me. One minute, I have given an audition, and the next minute, I’m sitting opposite, probably one of the coolest people I’ve ever met, Mr Siddharth Anand. We had a long conversation, and that’s when I got to know I’m doing Fighter, playing the antagonist in his film,” he wrote.

From observing filmmaking at its highest level to learning leadership and composure under pressure, Rishabh describes the journey as transformative. “The whole experience of working with him and just getting to observe him do his magic taught me so much about films, leadership, and how to be calm even in the most stressful environment,” he shared, expressing deep gratitude for the opportunity, trust, and learning.

He also acknowledged the impact of working closely with Hrithik Roshan, noting how it reshaped his understanding of true stardom, while the early belief shown by casting director Mukesh Chhabra gave him the confidence to fully own his journey.

Meanwhile, earlier Anil Kapoor also looked back at memories from Fighter, and shared a heartfelt post as the film clocked 2 years. Reflecting on the memories with utmost gratitude, Anil also penned a heartfelt note that read, “Two years later, Fighter still soars high.
