As she marks three decades in Hindi cinema, Rani Mukerji has begun 2026 on a spiritual note. Ahead of her upcoming release, the actor visited Pune’s iconic Dagdusheth Ganpati temple, where she was seen performing the aarti and offering prayers.
Speaking to ANI during her visit, Rani shared that temple visits have become second nature to her whenever work takes her to a new city. She recalled that even during the shoot of Aiyyaa, she would frequently stop by the shrine. “I always come here for darshan. Whenever I travel, whether a film is releasing or not, I like to visit temples. I was shooting in Pune during Aiyyaa and came here many times. Now my film is releasing, so I’ve come to seek Bappa’s blessings,” she said.

‘I Pray for Peace and Happiness, Not Just Films’
Rani emphasised that her prayers go beyond professional milestones. She explained that success, according to her, ultimately rests with the audience. “I always pray that there is peace in the world and that everyone is happy. May Dagdusheth Bappa remove suffering, especially of children, and clear obstacles from people’s lives,” she said, adding that her visit was also an expression of gratitude.

Reflecting on her 30-year journey, the actor said she feels deeply thankful for the continued love she has received. “Whether a film works or not is in the hands of the audience. I come to Bappa to say thank you. I’ve completed 30 years in this industry, and none of it would have been possible without his blessings and the audience’s love.”
All Set for Mardaani 3
On the work front, Rani is gearing up for her return as the fierce cop Shivani Shivaji Roy in Mardaani 3. Produced by Yash Raj Films, the third chapter of the Mardaani franchise follows Shivani as she takes on a dangerous mission to rescue missing girls across the country. The film is slated to hit theatres on January 30.
