Brooklyn Beckham has once again spoken out publicly against his parents, David Beckham and Victoria Beckham, accusing them of ruining his marriage to actor Nicola Peltz. In a strongly worded statement shared on social media, Brooklyn alleged long-standing disrespect towards his wife and claimed that media narratives about their family have been “controlled” by his parents and their team.
The eldest Beckham son said he had stayed silent for years in an attempt to keep the matter private but felt compelled to speak out after repeated reports in the press. He also made it clear that he has no intention of reconciling with his family at this point.
Brooklyn Beckham Calls Out Parents Publicly
Taking to his official Instagram handle, Brooklyn addressed the situation head-on, admitting that he had
tried to maintain peace for a long time. He wrote, “Unfortunately, my parents and their team have continued to go to the press, leaving me with no choice but to speak for myself and tell the truth about only some of the lies that have been printed. I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Brooklyn further alleged that his wife Nicola has been “consistently disrespected” by his family. He claimed that while he and Nicola made efforts to spend time with his parents privately, they were often only welcomed at events involving media presence. According to Brooklyn, even during personal milestones, meaningful time together was denied.
‘It Was A Slap In The Face’
Detailing one such incident, Brooklyn recalled travelling to London for David Beckham’s birthday celebrations. He wrote, “Despite this, we still travelled to London for my dad’s birthday and were rejected for a week as we waited in our hotel room trying to plan quality time with him. He refused all of our attempts, unless it was at his big birthday party with a hundred guests and cameras at every corner.”
He further added that when a meeting was finally agreed upon, it came with a painful condition. “When he finally agreed to see me, it was under the condition that Nicola wasn’t invited. It was a slap in the face. Later, when my family travelled to LA, they refused to see me at all.”
Brooklyn concluded his message by firmly rejecting claims that his wife controls him. He instead blamed his family situation for his mental health struggles, saying that his “overwhelming anxiety” disappeared after stepping away. “My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press, or manipulation. All we want peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family,” he wrote.
Tensions between the Beckhams are believed to date back to 2022, around Brooklyn and Nicola’s lavish wedding, where Nicola wore a Valentino gown instead of a design by Victoria Beckham. While both families denied any fallout at the time, sources have long suggested it marked the beginning of deeper rifts.
