Amaal Mallik made a controversial statement about a fellow contestant and influencer, Awez Darbar’s followers. Calling them fake, he said, “2 kaudi ka…” while consoling Neelam Giri. Later, while talking to Farrhana about Awez, he claimed, “Out of 30 million, 25 million of his followers are fake. I’ve given him so much business. If he has the guts to refuse me work outside, then I’ll believe he is a man.”

These statements received immense backlash on social media. Former Bigg Boss winner and Awez Darbar’s sister-in-law, Gauahar Khan publicly called him out for using “abusive language” and “racist remarks” on the show.

During the same confession, the music composer revealed that due to the family feud, his mother, Jyoti Malik, struggled while she was pregnant with him. His brother, Armaan also supported his statement.
During one task in the Bigg Boss 19 house, Amaal made a few derogatory comments on Ashnoor Kaur and her bond with Abhishek Bajaj. He said, “Ye dono nakli pyaar wale. Iss ladke ko toh pata hi nahi hai ki yeh usko use kar rahi hai (These two fake lovers. This guy doesn’t even know that she is using him).”

Mallik said that Ashnoor is using Abhishek, and his statements also moved Nehal, who was listening to them from another room. Shehbaaz also mimicked Ashnoor.
The music composer’s statement didn’t sit well with Kaur’s on-screen brother in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, Rohan Mehra. Taking to his Instagram stories, he posted a short clip of the episode and wrote, “My blood boils seeing people talk about my sister @ashnoorkaur03,” followed by a white heart emoji.
