Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz may be navigating choppy family waters, but the couple appears focused on building a future that reflects their shared values. According to a new report, the two are seriously considering adoption as they look to expand their family, even as tensions with Brooklyn’s famous parents continue to play out publicly.
Sources close to the couple told The Sun that Brooklyn, 26, and Nicola have had multiple discussions about welcoming a child through adoption. The insider said the idea is something the couple sees eye to eye on, adding, “This is a subject Nicola and Brooklyn firmly align on.”
The reported decision is said to be driven by a desire to give back. Another source explained, “They both want a brood of children,
and for at least one to be adopted.” The motivation, the insider added, comes from an awareness of their own privilege: “They both know they come from a place of unimagined privilege and therefore strongly want to give back by offering a disadvantaged baby or child the best possible life.”
Despite their global profiles, Brooklyn and Nicola are believed to be keen on keeping such personal decisions away from constant scrutiny. The report suggests that this preference for privacy has been reinforced by advice from Nicola’s father, billionaire investor Nelson Peltz, who has encouraged the couple to stay clear of unnecessary media attention.
Another factor influencing the timing of adoption is Nicola’s current professional commitment. According to the source, her physical transformation for an upcoming film role has made biological parenthood unlikely in the near future. “They have talked extensively about it. Nicola has just dropped to 90 lbs. for her latest movie role, so having a child that is biologically hers right now seems out of the question.”
All of this unfolds against the backdrop of an increasingly public rift within the Beckham family. In recent weeks, Brooklyn has openly stated that he does not wish to reconcile with his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, or his siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper. He has also accused his parents of attempting to interfere in his marriage and criticised Victoria Beckham’s conduct during his 2022 wedding, which he described as “inappropriately” handled.
Addressing the situation on January 19, Brooklyn wrote, “I have been silent for years,” alleging that narratives about his life were shaped by his parents and their team. He added that he had “no choice” but to speak out, saying, “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Friends of David and Victoria Beckham were reportedly “floored” by the allegations, with several people close to the family, including the wedding planner from Brooklyn’s ceremony, downplaying claims of conflict at the event. One commentator noted that the family’s carefully maintained public image had been “blown apart” by the ongoing fallout.
